Inter youngster Davide Merola has posted a farewell message to his social media with him looking set to join Roma as part of the deal that will send Edin Dzeko to the Nerazzurri.

Part of the Italian youth international’s post to Instagram was dedicated to close friend and teammates Nicholas Schiro.

“Unfortunately it didn’t go the way we wanted, it didn’t go the way we hoped, I will miss this group, I will miss you all, but the one who I will miss the worst will be you. You were the person that seven years ago gave me a hand since I set foot in this club, the first person that was always there in times of difficult. You are more than a friend, you are a brother. We have spent so many good times together and it was a pleasure. I will always love you my friend Nicholas Schiro.”
