Juventus will wait until the end of August to move for Inter striker Mauro Icardi as they want to sign him at the most favourable conditions possible, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Bianconeri announced Maurizio Sarri as their new head coach yesterday and remain interested in taking the 26-year-old, with Wanda Nara on good terms with sporting director Fabio Paratici.

Inter will not be able to resolve Icardi’s future quickly like they had hoped, however, making it ever more likely he will still be at the club when preseason training begins.

Icardi and Wanda have left Italy for their summer holidays in Japan and Polynesia and have no plans to meet the club for talks anytime soon.

Inter had briefly considered excluding Icardi from Antonio Conte’s training camp in Lugano, but the club believe this would create more risks than benefits.

The Nerazzurri are concerned it could spark a legal dispute they would not win, as well as further shortening a squad which will already have limited numbers because of this summer’s international tournaments.

Beppe Marotta spoke to Wanda on the phone recently and told her the striker is not part of the former Juventus and Chelsea boss’s plans.
