Federico Chiesa’s future at Fiorentina remains in doubt despite the club’s new owner Rocco Commisso vowing not to sell the forward.

Corriere della Sera today reported Inter and Juventus are both still interested in acquiring the 21-year-old, who scored twice in Italy’s 3-1 win over Spain in the European Under-21 Championships on Sunday.

Commisso has no intention of selling Chiesa but could be forced to change his position if the player were to put his foot down.

“Fiorentina aren’t giving up but neither are Juventus,” the paper reported.

“Chiesa is very tempted by what Juventus are offering him – €5 million for five seasons but also the chance to make a step up in his career and play in the Champions League.”

Inter have not lost hope of signing Chiesa themselves but it appears unlikely given the player has already made up his mind.

The Italy international will continue to make headlines in the coming weeks, though, because nothing has been decided yet.
