Inter are in talks with Manchester United over a part-exchange deal for Romelu Lukaku involving Ivan Perisic, according to Sport Mediaset.

United want €70-80 million in cash to let the striker go and are not interested in signing Mauro Icardi, whom Inter are looking to sell.

The clubs are trying to get round their differences by discussing the opportunity to send Perisic to Old Trafford, who disappointed at Inter last season.

Lukaku has informed United of his desire to leave this summer and is one of two strikers Antonio Conte wants to sign for the Nerazzurri.

Edin Dzeko remains the former Juventus and Italy coach’s other target, although Inter and Roma remain €5-6 million apart in their valuations.

Inter have offered the Giallrossi €13 million plus €1.5 million in add-ons after agreeing personal terms with the 33-year-old.

Nicolo Barella is closer to joining than the Bosnian at the moment after Inter offered Cagliari €35 million up front, €14 million in add-ons, Federico Dimarco on loan with an option to buy and Alessandro Bastoni on a straight loan.

Cagliari had hoped to receive more for their star player but have now realised they cannot draw out negotiations much longer, with no other club showing signs of making another offer.
