Inter received another boost in their pursuit of Nicolo Barella today after Eder gave his approval to joining Cagliari, according to Sky Sport.

The player’s agent Tullio Tinti visited Inter in their new club offices to confirm the 32-year-old would be happy to move to the Rossoblu.

Eder is one of the players Inter have considered using in the deal for Barella to lower Cagliari’s €50 million asking price.

Tinti also manages Alessandro Bastoni, another potential makeweight in negotiations, but the TV station did not specify whether the defender’s future was discussed.

Barella has long since agreed personal terms with Inter and is waiting for the Nerazzurri to reach an agreement with Cagliari.

Talks have proved slower than initially expected, though, with reports elsewhere of a decisive meeting between Beppe Marotta and Tommaso Giulini tomorrow.

Eder has scored seven goals in 13 league appearances for Jiangsu Suning so far this year, having joined the Chinese Super League club in January 2018.
