Inter centre-back Miranda is destined to stay on the substitutes’ bench for Brazil’s Copa America match against Venezuela tonight.

The Selecao defeated Bolivia 3-0 in their opening Group A fixture, with former Inter midfielder Philippe Coutinho and Everton securing victory for Tite’s under-fire team.

Thiago Silva and Marquinhos were preferred on Friday night and it appears they will retain their places in the starting XI at Salvador’s Arena Fonta Nova.

Miranda has one year left on his contract at Inter but is expected to leave the club before the start of the new season.

Brazil will face Peru in their final group match on Saturday, with the quarter-finals taking place next week.

Ex-Roma goalkeeper Alisson will again play in goal against Venezuela with former Juventus full-back Dani Alves starting in defence.

Brazil’s probable starting XI vs Venezuela (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Dani Alves, Marquinhos, Thiago Silva, Filipe Luis; Casemiro, Arthur; Neres, Coutinho, Richarlison; Firmino.
