Former Inter coach and AC Milan director Leonardo, is thinking about hijacking Inter’s deal for Cagliari’s Italian international midfielder Nicolo Barella, and bring the young Italian midfielder to Paris Saint-Germain where he is once again the Sporting Director, French media outlet France Football reports.

According to the report, Leonardo was the main reason AC Milan were interested in the Cagliari midfielder in the first place.

Now, that he has left the Rossoneri and has rejoined Paris Saint-Germain, Leonardo is reportedly looking to bring Barella, who is currently part of the Italian U-21 squad that’s taking part in the UEFA U-21 Championships, with him to Paris.

Leonardo is reportedly prepared to table an offer in the region of €45 million for Barella, who according to several reports has set his heart on a move to Inter if he were to change clubs in the Serie A, but it is unknown how he would react to moving to the French capital.
