Inter remain on course to complete the signing of Hertha Berlin midfielder Valentino Lazaro, according to Tuttosport.

The clubs have not yet agreed on a valuation for the Austrian international, with Hertha asking for €25 million and Inter offering €20 million plus add-ons.

A deal could be reached by Inter offering Hertha a cut on any future resale, though, which the parties are discussing at the moment.

Federico Pastorello has been working on the deal for Inter and flew to Iran earlier this week, to present new head coach Andrea Stramaccioni for Esteghlal, but this has not slowed talks.

Tuttosport today described the latest negotiations as ‘jousting’, assuring Lazaro’s future is already written.

Antonio Conte is looking for a player to fill in at right wing-back in his 3-5-2 system and would approve of Lazaro’s stamina on the right-hand side of the pitch.

Lazaro scored three goals and created seven assists last season as Hertha secured an 11th-place finish in the Bundesliga.
