Nicolò Barella remained tight-lipped on rumours linking him with a move to Inter today, insisting he is not thinking about his future.

Barella is currently involved in the European Under-21 Championships in Italy, playing the full 90 minutes yesterday as the Azzurrini lost against Poland.

Inter and Cagliari have so far failed to reach an agreement for the 22-year-old, but the midfielder refused to be drawn on the speculation surrounding him.

“These European Championships are too important to be reading what the papers are saying about me,” Barella told reporters in a press conference.

“It’s not my job to decide how much I should cost, that’s for the clubs to decide.”

Barella admitted there was room for improvement after his first two performances of the tournament, having given away the free-kick that led to Poland’s winning goal on Tuesday.

“I can definitely do better, just like everyone else,” he added.

“Our impression on the pitch was that the Polish player dived onto me. I don’t think it was a foul. I’ve not picked up any bookings in these two matches.”
