Inter do not risk missing out on Sochaux midfielder Lucien Agoume despite a last-minute approach from Manchester City, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Sky Sport yesterday reported the Nerazzurri could be beaten to the 17-year-old if they did not finalise a deal with the Ligue 2 club soon.

Agoume is destined to move to Italy, though, following weeks of negotiations for the France under-17 captain.

The player’s agent Oscar Damiani visited Inter in their new club offices yesterday to sort out the final details of the deal, which will be completed imminently.

Agoume made 15 appearances for Sochaux’s first team during the 2018-19 campaign as they finished 16th in France’s second tier.

He is expected to become Inter’s first official signing of the summer, after talks for Nicolo Barella, Edin Dzeko and Valentino Lazaro stalled this week.

The teenager made his debut for France’s under-17 side last September and is now their captain.
