Marko Arnautovic wants to return to Inter and is sending the Nerazzurri flirtatious messages via his agent, according to Sky Sport.

The Austrian international made three appearances during the 2009-10 season before being sold to Werder Bremen, with Jose Mourinho once infamously calling him a ‘child’.

West Ham want €25 million to sell the forward after receiving a much higher offer from an unnamed Chinese Super League club in January.

Edin Dzeko remains Inter’s first choice in attack but Arnautovic is an option the club could take into consideration as well.

Arnautovic made 28 appearances in the Premier League for the Hammers last season, scoring 10 goals and creating four assists.

The 30-year-old has played 77 matches for Austria since making his senior debut in October 2008, scoring 20 goals.

Before joining West Ham in 2017 the player spent four seasons with Stoke City, where he made 145 appearances in all competitions and scored 26 goals.

Arnautovic’s best season in terms of goals was the 2015-16 season with the Potters, where he found the net on 12 occasions.
