Diego Godin paid homage to former teammate Fernando Torres on Friday after the Spanish striker announced his retirement.
Torres spent two-and-a-half seasons playing alongside Godin for the Colchoneros before leaving for Japan in 2018.
Godin will become one of Inter’s first signings of the summer when he joins the Nerazzurri on a free transfer in July.
“I’m proud of you Fernando and it was an honour to share many of the great moments in your career together,” Godin wrote on Twitter.
“The example you leave behind both as a professional and as a man is your greatest legacy. I wish you the best for the next chapter of your life!”
