Stefano Sensi’s arrival at Inter could allow Marcelo Brozovic to advance up the field in the eyes of Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian is set to arrive from fellow Serie A club Sassuolo and is able to play as a defensive midfielder, traditional central midfielder and as an attacking midfielder.
In the past he has made it known that his preference is to play as a defensive midfielder, specifically as a regista, the role that Brozovic has played for the past year or so.
With Sensi occupying the regista role in front of the defence in Conte’s 3-5-2 system, Brozovic could partner Nicolo Barella in the centre of the park with Barella seemingly destined to join Inter from Cagliari this Summer.
The report goes on to state that Valentino Lazaro, who has also been strongly linked with a move, will occupy one of two wing back slots in Conte’s system with Ivan Perisic occupying the opposite wing back role.
