Antonio Conte wants Inter’s team to consist of more Italian players and the club are on course to meet the demands of the new manager according to a report from Corriere della Sera.

The Nerazzurri are closing in on the signing of Sassuolo midfielder Stefano Sensi and afterwards will look to close deals for Cagliari’s Nicolo Barella and Roma’s Alessandro Florenzi.

Conte wants the core of Inter’s team to be made up of Italian players which is good news for the likes of Roberto Gagliardini and Matteo Politano, the report from the Milan based newspaper details.

Inter are looking to get the right mix of players on the rise and experienced players who can help the up-and-coming talents out.

One of the experienced players will be Diego Godin. The veteran Uruguayan defender is due to join Inter on a free transfer upon the expiry of his contract with current employers Atletico Madrid at the end of this month.
