A distance of €7 million separates Inter and Roma in negotiations over Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
The two clubs have been locked in talks for some time now and Inter’s latest offer was of €13 million whilst Roma continue to hold out for €20 million for the 33-year-old striker, whose contract in the Italian capital is due to expire at the end of next season.
The report from the Rome based newspaper goes on to report that Roma are now set to challenge Inter for the signing of Cagliari and Italian national team star Nicolo Barella.
Inter are well ahead of the Giallorossi having already found an agreement with Barella, who has spoken to Inter boss Antonio Conte, and have an agreement in principle with Cagliari over a deal worth €50 million in total.
This past season Barella made 38 appearances for Cagliari scoring one goal and tallying four assists in the process. He is currently involved with the Italian Under 21 national team at the European Championships.
