Journalist Mario Sconcerti has heaped praise upon Inter transfer target Edin Dzeko whilst also declaring Inter outcast Mauro Icardi would be a bargain signing for clubs.

“After Cristiano Ronaldo, he is the best. This past season when he did not play well there was no Roma. He is a very important player,” he remarked in an interview with CalcioMercato.com.

He then spoke on Inter’s recent treatment of Mauro Icardi with the club seemingly trying to offload the troublesome Argentine.

“I do not understand Conte’s witch-hunt against Icardi. In Icardi, we are talking about a very good number nine.

“It is true that the relationship between the club and player is frayed but whichever club signs him will be getting an extraordinary deal, for two reasons.

“Those reasons are financial and technical. Today Icardi is worth half of what he was a couple of years ago. Buying him would be a bargain. He is a striker who always guarantees a remarkable amount of goals. Alongside Dzeko he would be devastating.”
