With Stefano Sensi on the verge of completing a switch from Sassuolo to Inter, Gazzetta dello Sport have taken the time to profile the Italian international.

The 23-year-old looks set to join Inter on loan with Inter having an option to turn his stay at the club permanent for a fee of around €25 million.

“Under Roberto de Zerbi, Sensi was among the top ten midfielders when it came to touches of the ball and was also in the top 15 for chances created and passes completed.”

Sensi will also give Inter manager Antonio Conte a lot of options tactically mainly, “the ability to play fast whilst he can also play in a number of roles on the pitch. Sensi himself has said he is a defensive midfielder but is more than comfortable playing as a central midfielder.

“It is possible that he and Marcelo Brozovic could divide the tasks in the midfield, due to the fact the Croatian can also play in the same two positions.”
