Inter hope to complete the sale of defender Zinho Vanheusden to Standard Liege when the clubs meet today, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Piero Ausilio plans to recoup €20 million from the Belgian youngster as Inter chase €46 million in capital gains before the end of the month.

Midfielder Xian Emmers will also join Standard as part of the deal, although unlike Vanheusden the 19-year-old will sign on a season-long loan.

Vanheusden became a first-choice defender for the Jupiler Pro League side last season before a knee injury ruled him out of the playoffs.

Inter are making good progress towards their target figure as they aim to avoid all risks relating to Financial Fair Play.

Edoardo Vergani will join Sassuolo for €5 million as part of a deal to sign Stefano Sensi, while Nicholas Rizzo and Lorenzo Gavioli are expected to move to Genoa for €8.5 million.

Defender Gabriele Zappa already brought Inter €3 million in January when he joined Pescara, meaning the club are closing in on €46 million.

Inter will again satisfy their FFP requirements without having to sell key first-team players, nor will they sacrifice players such as Sebastiano Esposito or Andrea Pinamonti.
