Parma have joined Brescia in the race to sign Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti on loan for next season, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Ducali want a striker to replace Roberto Inglese given he will leave the club this summer and have apparently identified the 20-year-old as their preferred target.

Brescia were promoted to Serie A in May after an eight-year absence and are following Pinamonti alongside Gianluca Scamacca and Alberto Cerri.

Pinamonti scored five goals in 27 league appearances for Frosinone last season, but they were not enough to stop the Ciociari being relegated to Serie B after just one top-flight season.

The Italian was expected to star at the UEFA European Under-21 Championships in Italy after being named in Gigi Di Biagio’s 23-man squad.

However, a knee injury forced him to withdraw from the competition after helping Italy’s under-20 reach the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup in Poland.
