Arsenal are likely to revive their interest in Inter forward Ivan Perisic before the end of the transfer window, according to reports in England.

Perisic had interest from the Premier League club in January but Inter did not allow him to leave after the Gunners only offered a loan deal.

According to The Sun, Unai Emery views the Croatian as a more economic alternative to Lille’s Nicholas Pepe and hopes he can sign Perisic.

However, Arsenal will need to sell players first to raise the necessary funds and this could scupper any approach for the 30-year-old.

Perisic has offers from clubs in China but his strong preference remains a move to the Premier League, having also nearly joined Manchester United in 2017.

The paper assured it was ‘unlikely’ he would stay at Inter for another year, before reporting Romelu Lukaku could be headed in the other direction.

The forward has an agreement with Inter on personal terms but the Nerazzurri’s valuation remains €22 million shy of Manchester United’s asking price.
