Inter forward Sebastiano Esposito celebrated ‘the best year of my career’ on social media earlier following the Nerazzurri’s under-17 Scudetto triumph.
Esposito scored a hat-trick as Andrea Zanchetta’s side beat Roma 3-1, but he also appeared in the Primavera Scudetto final the week previously when Inter lost to Parma.
Luciano Spalletti handed the 16-year-old his senior debut in March when Inter played Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League last 16.
“If someone had told me at the start of the season I’d make my debut in the Primavera by scoring twice, I wouldn’t have believed them,” Esposito said on Instagram.
“I’d have thought they were crazy if they’d then said I would play for the first team in March!
“I’ve always put heart and determination into making my dream come true, and I was lucky to ensure it did.
“We shouldn’t stop now though because we need to start thinking about next season.”
