Lyon have joined fellow Ligue 1 sides Monaco and Marseille in the battle to sign Inter’s left-back Dalbert, according to FcInterNews.it.

Jean-Michel Aulas has sold Ferland Mendy to Real Madrid for €48 million and is looking for a replacement ahead of next season.

Inter need €15 million to avoid making a net loss on the Brazilian, who made just 11 league appearances under Luciano Spalletti last year.

Lyon have the money to purchase Dalbert on a permanent deal, though, which could give them an advantage over Monaco and Marseille.

Roberto Mancini’s former assistant coach Sylvinho will take charge of the French club for the 2019-20 campaign, who finished third in Ligue 1 behind Paris Saint-Germain and Lille last month.

Lyon’s interest for Dalbert is described as ‘real and serious’ but it remains to be seen how much Aulas will be willing to offer.

Dalbert has happy memories of playing in France after an excellent 2016-17 season with Nice helped him secure a move to Inter two years ago.
