Antonio Conte has asked Inter not to sell Alessandro Bastoni or Andrea Pinamonti yet because he wants to try them out in preseason, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Conte likes both players and is keen to evaluate them properly before eventually giving the green light for departures on loan.
Diego Godin and Lautaro Martinez will both miss Inter’s preseason training camp in Lugano due to their participation in the Copa America, and the Italian pair will be asked to replace them.
“It will be a great opportunity for both of them to show what they can do, because when Inter travel to Singapore, Nanjing and Macao they will be playing some prestigious opponents,” the paper reported this morning.
Conte is a huge fan of Pinamonti and could even include him in Inter’s Champions League squad for next season, because the 20-year-old would be ideal for one of their homegrown slots.
The forward only has two years left on his contract, though, which Inter want to change as soon as possible.
