Inter have upped their offer for Hertha Berlin midfielder Valentino Lazaro to €20 million, according to Corriere della Sera.

The Nerazzurri had hoped to sign the Austrian international for less but the Bundesliga club have proved tricky to negotiate with.

Lazaro wants to join Inter after scoring three goals and creating seven assists for Hertha last season, helping them finish 11th in Germany’s top flight.

Federico Pastorello is acting as an intermediary figure in negotiations and met Inter at their offices in Milan yesterday.

The paper also confirmed Inter met Genoa owner Enrico Preziosi on Tuesday to finalise a deal for Lanus forward Pedro De La Vega.

Genoa will sign the 18-year-old while granting Inter a right of first refusal when they decide to sell him elsewhere.

Inter are also on the verge of sending their academy forward Edoardo Vergani to Roma as part of a deal to sign Edin Dzeko.
