Inter are set to appoint former Eurosport and Sky Italy employee Luigi Ecuba as the club’s Brand & Media director, according to Milano Finanza.

Ecuba most recently worked as senior director of southern European sports for Eurosport and also has experience with Sky Italy’s cousins in Germany, both of which are controlled by USA Discovery.

His responsibilities will include improving the Nerazzurri’s output on their TV channel, website and social media and planning the club’s marketing strategies.

Ecuba will report to Alessandro Antonello, Inter’s chief executive officer for corporate matters, and replaces Matteo Pedinotti, who was appointed as the club’s new head of communications in April.

The appointment reinforces Suning’s commitment to making the club as professional and efficient as possible off the pitch, as they attempt to increase Inter’s annual turnover and expand its brand globally.

Antonio Conte has been appointed head coach in the hope of making the Nerazzurri a force to be reckoned with on the pitch as well.
