Inter could be forced to wait before signing Edin Dzeko from Roma as the Giallorossi have not found a replacement yet, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Sky Sport last night reported the clubs had reached an agreement for Dzeko, which would see the Nerazzurri pay €10 million in cash and hand over Edoardo Vergani.

However, Gazzetta did not agree this morning and insisted the clubs were still somewhat distant on their valuations for the 33-year-old.

“Dzeko has given his word to Inter but everyone is going to have to be patient in this complex story,” the paper wrote.

“Inter will soon have other issues to resolve when Mauro Icardi and Radja Nainggolan return for preseason training, and in any case they need to make a couple of sales first.”

Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio are looking to secure as many capital gains as possible before the 2018-19 financial season ends on Sunday.
