Stefano Sensi ‘cannot wait’ to complete his move to Inter after the Nerazzurri agreed a loan deal with Sassuolo, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Inter will pay €5 million to have the midfielder for next season and can then exercise a €20 million option to buy next summer, in a very similar deal to the one struck for Matteo Politano twelve months ago.
Sassuolo will also sign one of Inter’s academy players as part of the deal, but it is not yet clear who that will be.
Sensi wore the no. 12 shirt for Sassuolo and has decided to keep the same number when he arrives in Milan.
The 23-year-old made 28 league appearances for the Neroverdi last season as they finished 13th in Serie A, scoring twice and creating four assists.
Roberto Mancini gave the midfielder his senior debut for Italy in November, before playing him again in the Azzurri’s Euro 2020 qualifying fixture against Liechtenstein.
