Inter Could Need Icardi Or Nainggolan Sale To Raise Lukaku Offer

Inter could need to sell Mauro Icardi or Radja Nainggolan before they can increase their offer to Manchester United for Romelu Lukaku, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri believe they will need €65 million to convince United to sit down and start negotiations, with the Premier League club currently holding out for €75 million.

Inter don’t have the economic freedom to make such an offer at the moment, though, meaning they will have to move diplomatically with Lukaku and the Red Devils until then.

Icardi does not have any offers but could unlock talks for the Belgian, and the same applies to Nainggolan.

Two players who could leave the club in short order, however, are Joao Mario and Dalbert, who have offers from Ligue 1.

Mario has interest from Monaco while the full-back is being courted by Marseille, having joined from their southern rivals Nice two summers ago.

Borja Valero is also waiting to depart despite comments from his agent yesterday suggesting he would stay at Inter.

United are closing in on Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and this provides further confirmation Lukaku is heading towards Inter.
