Manchester United have decided to reject Inter’s offer for Belgian international striker Romelu Lukaku, worth €70 million, according to ESPN FC.

Last night, news broke that Inter had made an offer to Manchester United for the former Everton striker which they had accepted, where the Nerazzurri would loan him for two years for €10 million with a forced option to buy set at €60 million afterwards to be paid over three years.

However, ESPN FC suggest that Ed Woodward and the Man United leadership have decided to stall in the offer, not being prepared to accept Inter’s initial offer,  at this stage of the transfer window.

ESPN FC report further that Manchester United have set a flat asking price of £80 million on Romelu Lukaku, who is very keen on making the move to Inter, having branded newly appointed Nerazzurri coach Antonio Conte as “the best manager in the world.”

It remains to be seen if Inter will come back to relaunch their efforts to sign the player Antonio Conte has been after since his days in charge of Chelsea, with an improved offer.
