Inter’s future signing Lucien Agoume has been backed by his former head coach at Sochaux to reach the top of European football.

Agoume is expected to complete a move to the Nerazzurri in the next few days, after last-minute interest from other clubs slowed talks down.

Omar Daf coached the 17-year-old for Sochaux in Ligue 2 and earlier this summer he praised his ability to improve constantly, when the player was linked with a move to Barcelona.

“Agoume is a player who grows game after game,” Daf was reported as saying in a profile published by Goal.com.

“We’re here to accompany him on his journey and take him to the top, but obviously he has to earn all of that success.”

Agoume has made 11 appearances for France’s under-17 side and is currently their captain.

The youngster could be joined at Inter by his international teammate Etienne Kinkoue, who appears close to a move from Troyes.
