Young Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni has shared his ambitions to finish his career at Inter after being stopped outside Inter headquarters by a number of reporters.
“My future? I am going to the training camp with Inter, now I am off for week but we we will see later. Cagliari’s interest? I have no idea. I am thinking about Inter, nothing else.”
Asked about Antonio Conte’s appointment as Inter’s manager, Bastoni shared his belief in the former Juventus boss.
“He is certainly a great coach who has a winning mentality, he will also bring it to Milan. Do I think I have a chance to stay under him? Absolutely. I will try to play my cards right.”
He then shared his excitement about being able to train with Inter’s defenders.
“To be able to train with the likes of Milan Skriniar and Diego Godin is a dream. I can learn a lot from them. For me it is a dream come true to be here. I have always supported Inter.”
In conclusion, he was asked if Sassuolo director Diego Carnevali’s presence at Inter headquarters had anything to do with him and if it was just a coincidence.
“Yes it is. I was here for other things.”
