Inter face an uphill battle to agree a deal for Nicolo Barella with Cagliari as the Rossoblu continue to remain firm on their €50 million asking price, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Beppe Marotta and Tommaso Giulini could meet for talks in the next few days after postponing a planned meeting last week.

Inter have offered €36 million plus €4 million in bonuses and are willing to increase the add ons to €6-7 million, while also offering Federico Dimarco on loan.

Cagliari are not listening for the moment, though, with no intention to sell Barella for what they would believe is on the cheap.

Inter appear to be having more success in their pursuit of Roma striker Edin Dzeko, with the possibility of an agreement in the region of €17 million.

However, the clubs have still not agreed which player will join the Giallorossi as part of the deal.

Roma would like Danilo D’Ambrosio included while Inter’s offer of academy forward Edoardo Vergani, who has interest from Fiorentina, seems destined not to happen.
