Inter Must Give Chievo Half Their Transfer Fee For Genoa-Bound Pinamonti

Inter will only receive half of the €18 million Genoa are due to pay to sign striker Andrea Pinamonti, according to calciomercato.com.

The Nerazzurri need money before Sunday to comply with Financial Fair Play, but the 20-year-old will only be worth €9 million to them.

Inter must give Chievo a 50% cut of the fee because of an agreement they reached with the Gialloblu when signing Pinamonti back in 2014.

It remains to be seen whether this will impact upon the Nerazzurri’s ability to hit their target of €45 million in ‘capital gains’, before the 2018-19 financial season ends this weekend.

Inter had hoped to keep control of Pinamonti as they believe he could be an important player for them in the future, preferring a loan move to another club in Serie A.

The need for cash has forced them to change tack, though, meaning they will have to resign the forward if they want him to continue his career at San Siro.
