Inter’s new defender Etienne Kinkoue will impress the Nerazzurri’s supporters with his aerial play and technical ability, Tuttosport reported today.

Kinkoue has made eight appearances for France’s under-17 side, scoring once in a friendly against Italy, and will sign for Inter from Ligue 2 club Troyes.

The centre-back has also played for Traînel and Football Club Nogentais and was considered one of the best young French defenders on the market.

“The first thing that strikes you with Kinkoue is his extraordinary height, which is around 1.95m,” the Turin-based paper said.

“It makes him a formidable player in the air but he has good feet as well. He started his career in midfield and has since moved back into defence without losing his ability on the ball.

“If you were looking for a defect you could say he isn’t very quick, which is because of how long his legs are.”

Troyes wanted to keep hold of Kinkoue but the 17-year-old will instead flit between Inter’s first team and Primavera teams this season.
