Inter and Italian youth international striker Andrea Pinamonti has shared his excitement with a move to fellow Serie A outfit Genoa on the verge of completion.

The 20-year-old forward is set to join the Rossoblu in a deal worth approximately €18 million from Inter, who reportedly have a gentleman’s agreement with Genoa for Pinamonti to return to the club in the future.

“I am happy with this new adventure,” Pinamonti, who spent last season on loan at Frosinone, remarked in an interview with broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

“Great strikers have come through the Genoa ranks, like Diego Milito, Marco Borriello and Krzysztof Piatek. I am ready to take on the challenge.”

He concluded by sharing his ambition to emulate Milito, who after playing for Genoa went on to star for Inter and play a crucial role in the famous treble win.

“Milito is my favourite striker and I want to follow in his footsteps at Genoa.”
