Andrea Pinamonti will undertake his medical with Genoa ahead of his proposed transfer to the Rossoblu in the coming hours, Sky Sport transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

Pinamonti has been on holiday in Greece but will arrive in Genoa by private jet so to complete the medical ahead of his €18 million transfer from Inter to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris outfit.

Inter will not maintain a buy-back option on the highly-rated Italian youth international but do have a gentleman’s agreement in place with Genoa that would allow for Pinamonti to return to Inter in the future.

Pinamonti’s sale makes up just shy of half of the €40 million ‘capital gains’ that Inter need to produce by the end of tomorrow so to comply with their settlement agreement, which they struck with European football’s governing body, UEFA.

Pinamonti spent this past season out on loan at Frosinone and made 27 appearances across all competitions for the Gialloblu, scoring five goals and tallying three assists in the process.
