The agency that look after Gareth Bale met with Inter president Steven Zhang and other Inter officials in recent days according to a report from Sport Mediaset.

Real Madrid are desperate to get the Welshman’s bumper €15 million salary off their books and are open to loaning the one-time world’s most expensive player out to achieve this.

The report from the broadcaster does however not detail what Inter’s management thought of the idea of loaning Bale from the 13 time Champions League winners.

The 29-year-old, who will celebrate his 30th birthday in the coming weeks, joined Los Blancos back in 2013 from Tottenham Hotspur and is under contract in the Spanish capital through to the end of the 2021/22 season.

This past season the former Southampton player made 42 appearances across all competitions. In 2620 minutes on the field, Bale notched a respectable total of 14 goals and provided six assists for his teammates at the Santiago Bernabeu club.
