Following the official confirmation of his transfer to Inter, up-and-coming goalkeeper Gabriel Brazao has discussed his decision to leave Cruzeiro for Italy among other topics.
The 18-year-old shot-stopper joined Parma in a move completed in synergy with Inter and he yesterday completed his switch to Inter on a long-term contract.
“It was a difficult decision because I left a great club in Brazil and also in the world. I am very grateful for all they have done for me. But at that moment, together with my family and my agents, we opted for the farewell and I think it was a wise choice,” he began the interview with Diario de Uberlandia.
“I wanted to work in a professional environment. At Parma I was training with the first team. It was a great experience and I am very grateful to God for it.
“The Italian goalkeeping school is one of the best in the world. I tried to adapt as soon as possible, obviously, without abandoning all that I had learned in Brazil, but this adaptation was very important to get closer to the Italian style. I try to absorb more things to show off.”
