Inter president Steven Zhang is hoping Beppe Marotta and Wanda Nara can reach an agreement over Mauro Icardi’s future later this week, according to Corriere della Sera.
Icardi and Wanda have finished their holidays in Polynesia and will now return to Milan, where Marotta plans to meet the striker’s wife and agent.
Inter have reportedly threatened to exclude Icardi from Antonio Conte’s preseason training camp, while Wanda has said she is ready to take legal action against the club.
Zhang is hopeful the tension over the last few weeks can be left behind and the parties will reach an amicable solution.
The paper also refused to rule out the possibility Inter could increase their offer to Cagliari for Nicolo Barella, despite various other reports stating they had no intention to do so.
The Nerazzurri do not want to get involved in bidding wars with other clubs but could raise their add-ons or offer another player as a makeweight.
