Inter were given ‘great references’ about their new signing Valentino Lazaro’s attitude in training, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Lazaro joined the Nerazzurri yesterday for €21 million plus add-ons and signed a four-year deal worth €1.5 million per season.

The Austrian international will play at right wing-back for Antonio Conte while Antonio Candreva will act as his understudy.

“Lazaro smiled, waved and seemed almost emotional yesterday when he arrived at Inter’s offices,” Gazzetta said this morning.

“He had the look of someone whose holidays were finished and was now ready to get down to business.”

Inter announced their first two signings of the summer yesterday with Lazaro following Diego Godin through the door.

Today they will confirm the arrival of Stefano Sensi from Sassuolo, after the midfielder arrived in Milan on Monday.

Sensi underwent a medical this morning and will be unveiled later today.

The paper also confirmed Lazaro’s arrival would see Danilo D’Ambrosio become a third centre-back this season, with Candreva providing back up on the wing instead.
