Inter are closing in on an agreement with Sassuolo to send them Andrew Gravillon on a season-long loan, according to FcInterNews.it.

The defender was initially supposed to be part of the deal that brought Stefano Sensi to the Nerazzurri, which should be made official today following the completion of a medical.

However, Marco Sala eventually went to the Neroverdi instead and left Inter seeking a fresh destination for the 21-year-old.

It seems Gravillon could join Sassuolo after all, though, with the clubs likely to reach an agreement in the next 24 hours.

Inter resigned the French youngster from Pescara last month after he made 29 appearances in Serie B for the Delfino last year.

Beppe Pillon’s side finished sixth in the regular season before losing at home to Verona in the play-off semi-finals.

Gravillon scored twice in wins against Foggia and Lecce and is now set for a return to Serie A, having made two appearances for Benevento in the 2017-18 campaign.
