Mauro Icardi would only be interested in joining Juventus if the striker accepted Inter’s desire to sell him this summer, according to La Repubblica.

Inter offered their former captain to Manchester United in a swap deal with Romelu Lukaku, but Icardi does not want to leave Italy for any club.

Icardi is determined to stay at Inter and could consider legal action if he were frozen out of the Nerazzurri’s squad this season.

“There are only two options for Icardi: either he stays at Inter, which is unlikely, or he’ll find a new home which isn’t too far away from Milan, or rather Juve,” the paper said today.

Inter have also offered Ivan Perisic to United on loan with an option to buy during talks for Lukaku, but not even this produced a breakthrough.

Elsewhere, Cagliari owner Tommaso Giulini will talk to Nicolo Barella today and attempt to persuade the midfielder to accept a move to Roma.

Inter are not on good terms with Roma after the Giallorossi’s approach for the 22-year-old but they will not let relations break down entirely, because it is not in their interest with talks for Edin Dzeko still ongoing.
