Stefano Sensi shared his joy at becoming an Inter player today when the midfielder gave his first interview to the club’s in-house TV channel.

The midfielder officially completed a loan move from Sassuolo on Tuesday and will begin preseason training with Antonio Conte next week.

Sensi said Inter had everything in place to do well this year but expected ‘a tough year’ with a lot of hard work ahead.

“It’s an indescribable feeling, I’d honestly never have expected it,” the 23-year-old told Inter TV.

“I’m here now though and I’ll give my best to work hard and be ready for the boss.

“I’ve already seen lots of different faces at my new Inter family. I’ve met very sociable people and relaxed people who make you feel in your element.

“The fans have given me a great welcome and my first impression is a great one and this is a good place to start from. Let’s hope we can make them very happy.”

Sensi said he couldn’t wait to start working with Conte, having scored two goals and created four assists for the Neroverdi last season.

“Conte is definitely a big coach with a winning mentality and that’s what you need in football today,” he added.

“He’s a coach who makes an impact and helps you to develop.”
