Roma Sporting Director Gianluca Petrachi has underlined that if Inter want to sign Bosnian international striker Edin Dzeko, they will have to do so on their terms, when speaking today at a press conference at the club’s training ground.

Petrachi was clear that if Inter wanted to sign Dzeko they will have to pay the price that Roma want or else there will be no deal and added that he expects the former Manchester City striker to carry out his duties for as long as he is under contract with the Giallorossi.

“Roma will not be blackmailed by anyone. Whenever someone wants to leave, they have to present a club that wants them and then pay the right price, then the player can leave.”

“I don’t like to be grabbed by the throat, to be choked, I refuse to keep anyone against their will by force. I am not interested if a player already has an agreement with another club, which is ethically wrong. What I care about is that a player knows that this isn’t his house, he is not the master.”

“It is the ownership that decides. Roma will not be strangled by anyone. I want to think that Dzeko is a Roma player, that when arriving for the pre-season training camp he counts on that the environment is changing, then we will make all evaluations based on that.”

“We have been clear, Inter has to pay well for the player, otherwise he will not leave.”
