Inter defender Miranda appeared to rule out a return to Brazil after helping the Selecao reach the Copa America final on Tuesday.
The 34-year-old played the final half-hour of the 2-0 win over Argentina and will hope to start against Peru at the weekend.
Miranda surprisingly said after the match he was keen to stay with Inter, despite having only one year left on his contract.
“I’m happy my name has been linked to a big club like Flamengo, who have the biggest fanbase in Brazil,” he was quoted as saying by besoccer.com.
“At the moment there’s nothing, though. They’re only rumours. My objective is the Selecao.”
Goals from Gabriel Jesus and Roberto Firmino took Tite’s side a step closer to winning the tournament they are hosting this summer.
Miranda made just 20 appearances in all competitions for Inter last season and was widely expected to leave the club before the new campaign began.
