Inter’s young forward Sebastiano Esposito is already looking forward to the new season after signing a three-year deal with the Nerazzurri.
The 16-year-old left the club’s offices this morning and stopped to pose for photos with supporters before getting into a taxi.
Esposito cannot sign a deal which is longer than three years because he is under-18, but he will be tied to the club until 2022 nonetheless.
“I’m happy about signing my new deal,” the Italian told FcInterNews.it.
“I hope I can carry on from where I left off last season.”
Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool and both Manchester clubs had all made approaches for the Esposito in recent months after a hugely impressive 2018-19 season.
Roma, Cagliari and Sassuolo had also asked for the player during talks for Edin Dzeko, Nicolo Barella and Stefano Sensi, but Inter said no to everyone.
He scored a hat-trick as Inter won the under-17 league title last month and also made his first-team debut under Luciano Spalletti in March, becoming the club’s youngest ever player in European competition.
