Report Claims Inter Striker Icardi Tells A Friend: “I Will Have To Become A Juventino”

Mauro Icardi has told a close friend he will ‘have to become a Juventino’ amid interest from the Bianconeri, Sport Mediaset revealed today.

The striker will arrive for preseason training at Inter on Sunday, where he is expected to cut a lonely figure after being put up for sale.

Maurito still hopes he can convince Antonio Conte to give him a second chance with the Nerazzurri, but he is beginning to realise there is almost no chance.

Napoli are also interested in signing Inter’s former captain but Icardi’s alleged comment suggests Juventus remain ahead.

The Old Lady’s sporting director Fabio Paratici met Wanda Nara in Ibiza earlier this week, after hearing news Napoli had offered Icardi a whopping €10 million per season deal.

Paratici wants Wanda to ‘wait’ for Juventus, who plan to sell some of their own attackers before securing Icardi for less than €50 million at the end of the summer.

Napoli have offered Inter a swap deal with Lorenzo Insigne for Icardi, but the Nerazzurri want €70 million in cash and will not accept less than €60 million.

Wanda remains in contact with Beppe Marotta and is also considering keeping Icardi at Inter until his contract expires in 2021.
