Reported Inter target Nicolas Pepe will not be sold until after this summer’s Africa Cup of Nations, Lille’s head coach Christian Galtier told reporters today.

Pepe scored 22 goals and created 11 assists in Ligue 1 last season as LOSC finished second behind champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Galtier held a press conference on Friday and assured everyone would need to be patient before discovering his future.

“We know Nicolas’ future will take a while to resolve,” Galtier said.

“At the moment he’s playing for the Ivory Coast and both parties involved are reflecting on the matter.

“I don’t know if we’re too far away from a €100 million asking price, I’m not certain about the details.”

Pepe made his international debut in November 2016 and has since scored four goals for the Elephants.

Inter were heavily linked with a move for the 24-year-old earlier in the summer, but their interest appears to have cooled in recent weeks.
