Inter and Napoli could perform a swap deal involving Mauro Icardi and Lorenzo Insigne during the Summer transfer window according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

The Partenopei have ignited an interest in signing the Argentine striker, whose future with Inter is as good as over following a series of controversial events this past season, which has led to a complete breakdown in relations between the player and the club.

Inter have meanwhile recently showed an interest in signing Insigne and reportedly made an enquiry about his availability in recent months.

Although Insigne is their captain, Napoli are clearly not fazed by the idea of moving him on.

Insigne has been on Napoli’s books since 2010 and has made just over 300 appearances for the club, scoring 77 goals and tallying 66 assists in the process.

Icardi has been with Inter since 2013 and has 219 appearances to his name across all competitions with 124 goals and 28 assists.
