Inter have made a contract offer to free agent defender Dani Alves but are likely to be knocked back with the Brazilian hoping for a Barcelona return according to a report from UOL Esporte.

The Nerazzurri have offered terms to the 36-year-old, who left French giants Paris Saint Germain at the end of last month upon the expiry of his contract with them.

Alves is believed to have appreciated the terms on offer to him and his representatives have also received the offer positively but he wants to return to Spanish football, namely to his beloved Barcelona.

Inter are however not alone in courting the 114-time Brazilian international right back. Juventus and Sevilla are both eyeing reunions with him whilst Atletico Madrid are also understood to be keen on adding him to their ranks.

This past season, Alves made 32 appearances across all competitions. In 2248 minutes on the park, he scored two goals and provided eight assists for teammates.
